I’ve wanted to get back to acrylic painting for a while now.
But it has felt like such a comprehensive medium in these fast-moving days.
A need of too much time and equipment.
But, that can’t stand in the way of it forever.
So I decided to just get on with it, and utilize the time I got.
And, from the second I startet, I enjoyed it immensely.
I can’t understand why I’ve kept away from it for over a year now.
Like.. always.. I wanted to do a coastal theme.
Ocean.
Wind.
Rocks.
That being my guidance, I just got to it.
Letting the hands work without much thought.
Letting the motions come from the inside.
And this ended up as the result:
I am very happy with how it ended up.
It’s made on paper for acrylic painting, adding the paint using a palette knife.
So happy with the experience and result, actually, that I decided to frame it.
So, now it hangs on my hobby room wall.
A reminder to keep on making time for the medium.
I hope you like it.
And I hope that you’re having a good day!
Beautiful.. I can almost smell the sea and feel the wind blow.
Thank you so much! That’s all I can hope for 🙂
Excellent feeling of motion!
Thank you! I’m very glad you think so 🙂
Very nice! This really captures the light and feeling of a wild shore for me. A palette knife is my favorite way to apply acrylic, too.
Thank you so much! That’s all I wanted to depict, so that makes me very happy. I feel that the palette knife gives me the rough, raw look of nature that I’m going for, and I just can’t seem to get back with just the brushes again 🙂
I LOVE it!!! Acrylic is an AWESOME medium (and I might be a bit biased!!!) Hope it inspired you to do MORE!
Thank you so much, Hilda! 🙂 It definitely did. It’s an awesome medium indeed!
Love it!
Thank you! I really appreciate it 🙂
This painting is very appealing. I also am glad you unpacked your acrylics today.
Thank you so much, Laura! I’m so glad you like it. It means a lot to get positive feedback on it 🙂
Beautiful! I’m glad you decided to go for it. I do that too, stay away from things for a while and then I wonder why. ☺️
Thank you so much! I am as well 🙂 I think a break can be good after a while, but over a year is far too long. I’ve decided that I won’t let that happen again 🙂
It’s gorgeous!
Thank you, Helen! It was a blast 🙂
Very intersting a great!
Thank you so much, Brian! I’m very glad you like it 🙂
Wow! It is sophisticated! Lots of details!
Thank you! I’m quite happy with how it turned out 🙂
