Don’t Look Down

Until recently, I’ve had the habit of looking down while walking.

As if thinking demands the view of the ground.

But then I looked up, and saw all the lovely trees, the birds and the skyline.

A whole lot of room to let the thoughts fly free.

And so they did.

The sounds got clearer.

The colours brighter.

So, to remind myself to keep looking up, I made this little piece.

I hope you like it.

And I hope that you’re having a good day!

If you want to see how the drawing got made, you can do so here:

  1. Like the drawing and the poem. The two figures remind me of Robert Pirsig and his son in «Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.» Thank you for sharing.

  2. Kim, good write up and good sketch. Tell me Kim, what you do to the digital paints you make, if it’s ok to tell. I have lot of my paints myself. Thanks, keep going.

    1. Thank you, Nidhika! Always appreciated 🙂 Do you mean what I do with the finished paintings after they’re done? If so, I publish the ones I like best on my Redbubble shop. The others I just post on this blog 🙂
