Until recently, I’ve had the habit of looking down while walking.
As if thinking demands the view of the ground.
But then I looked up, and saw all the lovely trees, the birds and the skyline.
A whole lot of room to let the thoughts fly free.
And so they did.
The sounds got clearer.
The colours brighter.
So, to remind myself to keep looking up, I made this little piece.
I hope you like it.
And I hope that you’re having a good day!

Like the drawing and the poem. The two figures remind me of Robert Pirsig and his son in «Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.» Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much, and thank you for letting me know! 🙂 I must get around to reading that book.
Kim, good write up and good sketch. Tell me Kim, what you do to the digital paints you make, if it’s ok to tell. I have lot of my paints myself. Thanks, keep going.
Thank you, Nidhika! Always appreciated 🙂 Do you mean what I do with the finished paintings after they’re done? If so, I publish the ones I like best on my Redbubble shop. The others I just post on this blog 🙂
The poem and the drawing of Don’t Look Down is lovely! And a great reminder of today.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you liked it 🙂
