Arrival – A Sniff Of Paint Tubes

Most of my digital paintings are very clearly digital.

Strong colours, sharp lines and clear distinctions between layers.

For this piece, I wanted to catch just a sniff of paint tubes.

See if I was able to make something with a bit more contexture, if that makes sense.

It was a fun experiment, and I think I can feel just a small whiff of paint while looking at it:

As you may have noticed through some of my other paintings, I have a crush on boats and ships.

Especially those old sailing ships.

I’ve never felt that I’ve mastered depicting them.

But I think this is the closest I’ve been so far.

Drawing them from a distance makes it easier.

But it took some of the pressure off, regarding the detail work.

So I hope you like it.

If you want to see how it got made, you can do so in this short video:

If you want to visit my redbubble shop, where I sell my digital art, you can find it here.

And, as always.

I hope you are doing alright, and that you’re having a great day!
