Mountain Air

Walking up a mountain in daylight is lovely.

Walking up a mountain during sunset is magnificent.

Everything around you glowing.

The grass, the sea below, the sky above.

Birds returning to their nests after a long day out hunting.

Or getting ready to head out for the night.

It’s not calm.

It’s lively.

It’s shifting.

From light to dark.

Colours to sounds.

Embracing to swallowing.

But at the time of sunset, none of them.

I’ve taken the time to make another time-lapse video, in case you want to see how this drawing got made.

As with all digital paintings and drawings, I’ve made it on my Ipad using Procreate.

If you would like to buy any of my digital art, you can do so by visiting my Redbubble shop.

So that leaves only one thing.

Making sure to wish you a great day!

  1. You might enjoy what Robert Pirsig wrote about climbing a mountain in his book «Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.» What you wrote reminds me of that.

    1. Thank you so much for the tip! I must admit I haven’t heard about him before, but it sounds like quite an interesting book. I’ve already added it to my list of books to check out 🙂
