It takes its toll on the paper if I get too eager.
But using the palette knife to scrape out a landscape in a watercolour painting is great fun.
In this one, I used it both for adding trees, fence posts and tufts of grass.
The splatters of paint was initially an accident, though.
But when it happened, I just added some more to kind of «go with it».
I don’t think that ended up looking very good.
But I’m very satisfied with the landscape.
I hope you’re doing alright, and that you’re having a good day!
It’s wonderful. Lov e the colours!
Thank you, Sarah! I’m happy to hear it’s not all splatter 😀
Love this…both the painting and the go with the flow attitude…. I do that myself..
After all happy accidents are a big part of art 🙂
Thank you! 🙂 There sure has been a lot of happy accidents – and a lot lot of some unhappy ones 🙂 But that’s learning.
I think it is beautiful! I have never thought of using palette knives for water painting … I am going to have to give that a try!
Thank you so much! 🙂 It’s quite fun, but the paper – unfortunately – can only take so much 🙂
