This is a sketch inspired by a photo we took in San Francisco back in 2014, which looks like this:

I tried to pick out some of the buildings for the sketch, and do my own take on it.
The pen version ended up like this:

I then added some watercolour to the mix, which made the final result end up like this:

A fun session, with a result I’m quite pleased with 🙂

Nicely done. Crisp and clean. Add a sentiment and it would make a grand greeting card. 👍
Thank you, Mike 🙂 That’s very nice of you. It is definitely missing something, as I was focusing mainly on the buildings. I’ll have to take a step back next time, and try to add something extra to the mix 🙂
Great, but, I gotta say, I miss the bicycles. Maybe next time?
Maybe next time 😊 I’ve never drawn people on bikes, so there’s got to be a first ☺
Pawtastic! HuMom loves SAN Francisco. She thanks you for the memories. 💜nose nudges💜
You’re very welcome! 🙂 It was a lovely city, although we probably only visited the tourist traps 😀
Nice job, did you visit Lombard Street I wonder? That would be good to see your interpretation…
By my googling it looks familiar, but I’m unsure. I’ll have to go through my photos again. It looks like a very fun (and very hard) subject to do 🙂
I think I’ll add it to my own to-do list as well. It’s a very long list so possibly for some time in the next decade 😉
I was in San Francisco during Fleet Week and whilst taking out my camera for a photo of Lombard Street the Blue Angels flew over in close formation. If I’d been 2 mins quicker I’d have got a great shot, I think all I got was their smoke 😆
I know the feeling 😉
That probably would be a great shot. I didn’t know about Fleet Week, but (after another googling) it looks like quite the show ☺
That is very good! What size is it?
Do you mean the paper? In that case it’s an A5 watercolour paper. So not that big at all 🙂
WOW! I love the watercolor effect. You did an awesome job. I love your signature, too; very unique. I love everything about your art. Never stop creating! 😉😎😊
Thank you so much, Sandi 😊 That’s really kind of you ☺ I’ve never gotten a compliment about my signature before, but I must admit I’m quite happy with it ☺ Hope you’re having a great day and are staying healthy ☺
I have an eye for detail. Stay safe and healthy, Kim. Blessings!😊
Amazing, I like the details in the window
Thank you ☺ It was a fun subject 😊
Yeah! Really interesting
